This piece is inspired by Rihanna's 2018 Met Gala look where the theme was the Heavenly bodies:Fashion and the Catholic Imagination. Here Rihanna wears a dress designed by Margiela with a matching robe and head piece. The head piece resembles the crown of a Pope which I felt very fitting for this queen. The name of this piece was inspired by Rihanna's very own Fenty Makeup line, by her red mattemoiselle lipstick is called "Ma'Damn". Damn, is the best way to describe this piece! Being that the this piece is so breathetaking I found the name to be an intriguing oxymoron, being that Pope's are usually male and referred to as the Holy Father.
This painting is 36x48, and is covered in iridescent black pearls and rhinestones. It is coated with resin for extra shine and is ready to hang.
